AI to Analog: The Builders Who Move Now Will Own the Next Decade

Construction doesn't change fast. But when it does, the gap between those who moved early and those who waited tends to define entire companies.
For years, the case for offsite construction was more philosophical than financial. Now the data is specific.
According to The Business Research Company's Offsite Construction Market Global Report 2026, the global offsite construction market was valued at $198.24 billion this year and is on track to reach $258.19 billion by 2030. A 6.8% compound annual growth rate driven by AI integration, high-performance prefabricated panels, and smarter logistics. That figure sits at the top of a range of credible estimates, all pointing the same direction:

Narrow the lens further: Grand View Research puts the prefabricated panels segment alone at $87.13 billion by 2030. Not the whole construction market. Just the walls.
That's a meaningful number sitting behind a problem that has never been properly solved.

Why the Wall Is Still Analog
98% of walls in the United States are still built by hand, on-site, from dimensional lumber.
And the wall is where trades converge: framing, sheathing, mechanical rough-in, electrical, insulation, exterior finish. Coordinating that sequence requires decisions that have historically been made in the field, which means the jobsite is also the design office, the quality control department, and the scheduling board, all at once.
Prefabricating walls at scale requires solving three problems simultaneously: design-to-fabrication speed, logistics to the jobsite, and a system simple enough that builders don't have to retrain crews or restructure operations. Solve any two of those and you still don't have a product. Solve all three and you have something the industry has been waiting for.
From AI to Analog: How PrimeTech Solved the Wall

That file drives automated CNC production. Panels arrive at the jobsite in sequential pallet order, with color-coded assembly, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation guides printed on each panel.
No cranes. No specialized equipment. Just standard bottom plates, reduced dimensional lumber, and PrimeTech's vertical load-bearing panels — with color-coded "paint-by-number" assembly guides printed directly on the wall. A small crew can frame, sheathe, and erect trusses in a single day.

While not every production home will frame in two hours. The output system is designed so most can, repeatably, at production volume.
The Performance Case
Speed alone would be a strong enough argument given where construction labor markets sit right now. But the PrimeWall system addresses more than schedule.
The PrimeWall is engineered to deliver a load-bearing capacity that exceeds standard 2×6 framing by more than double, and tested to withstand Miami-Dade hurricane load compliance for coastal markets. Thermal and acoustic performance exceed 2021 IECC energy codes. And it is code-compliant for buildings up to five stories, covering the mid-rise residential and light commercial segments that are increasingly central to urban housing production.
For production builders, the PrimeTwin also optimizes envelope performance, typically delivering 10–15% in energy savings compared to conventionally framed equivalents. A number that matters as energy codes tighten across jurisdictions.
This isn't a product that trades performance for speed. It trades field complexity for factory precision, and the performance improves as a result.

How We Scale
The limiting factor for most prefab wall systems has been the factory. Large centralized plants are capital-intensive and logistically constrained. The further a panel travels, the more difficult coordination becomes.
PrimeTech's model solves this. Each fabrication line requires approximately 10,000 square feet of floor space and roughly $1.25 million in capital, capable of producing components for more than 1,000 homes per year. The design is intentionally co-locatable with existing truss plants — and there are more than 2,200 of them already operating across the U.S. and Canada.
That existing infrastructure is PrimeTech's distribution network. Rather than building factories near builders, the company is building fabrication capacity inside the supply chain that already serves them.
